Medieval sword XV c.

Medieval sword XV c.

Medieval XV c. one hand sword with typical cross and pommel. A sword like this was found in the field of Battle of Castillon (1453), France. This type of swords were very popular in the times of late medieval.

Steel made pommel (Oakeshott's type V) is riveted on the tang. Cross (Oakeshott's type 11) is also steel made. The tang is covered by wood and then wrapped by leather strap.

Hammered and tempered blade is full combat ready: rounded tip, spring steel made, hardened to 50 HRC. The fuller (3/4 blade length) improves the flexibility and total weight of the sword.

Warning! Sharp edges blade (option) is very dangerous to be used during combat. We take no responsibility for effects of such using.

  • blade width at cross 4 cm
  • center of balance 8 cm
  • weight 1,5 kg
  • blade length 81 cm
  • total length 105 cm
